Hello and welcome to Sipley Wellness!

I love meeting new people and if I had it my way, we could be sitting on a comfy couch sipping on a warm drink getting to know each other, but this will have to do for now.  Working with a health coach requires a strong relationship and trust.  So let me share a bit about myself to help give you an idea of who I am and how health coaching works.

Let’s start with the basics.  I am a wife, mom of two kiddos and one sixty-pound fur baby.  I love making lists, reading books, and watching live comedy around the metro area.  In my past life I was a division-one gymnast and competed for four years at Western Michigan University, where my love for health and wellness began.

After graduating with a degree in public relations and psychology, I started a career in advertising, where I learned all about the psychology behind human behavior.  This fascinated me, but I just felt like there was something else out there that I was better suited for.

I retired from the world of advertising when my daughter was born and refocused my attention on health and wellness.  I became a certified group fitness instructor, health coach and a gymnastics coach.  Basically, I found that I loved helping others and making a positive impact on those around me.

What is a health coach?

I get this question a lot.  Simply put, a health coach is someone who helps you put your health goals in action.  All of us have some sort of wellness goal whether that be to go to bed earlier, drink more water, loose weight, eat more veggies, snack less, exercise more, learn how to meditate, and the list goes on.  Whether you have one or many, I can provide you with the tools that you need to accomplish them.

Most of the time, people know what they need to fix when it comes to their health. And if they don’t, their doctors will surely point it out. But they’re not the ones to teach you how to make changes. A health coach is. I provide accountability, knowledge, and the most valuable asset of all… time. Time to help you set goals, create action plans, share accurate and concise information, and provide accountability to set you on the right path.
